2019 Round 2 - Caves Classic

MTA NSW Rally Championship 2019 Round 2 – Caves Classic, Oberon NSW 13 April

MTA NSW congratulates both Glen Raymond and Kate Catford in winning the Caves Classic Rally held in and around Oberon near Bathurst on Saturday 13th April. Driving their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 they won ahead of Second place winners Richard Shimmon and Jim Gleeson in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 7 followed by Third place winners Tristan Kent and Robert Males driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9.

The event this year is Round 2 of the NSW Development Rally Series; East Coast Classic Rally; TechWorkz Clubman Rally Series; SpeedMaster Open Rally Series and Premier Panel Beating Hyundai Rally Series.

This year’s event was based in Oberon, with the start, finish, service park and post-event dinner and presentation located at the Oberon Rugby Leagues Football Club. Many thanks to all the team at NSSCC for putting in so much work to ensure the Caves Classic ran well. Oberon was a great place to centre the rally and the location had opened up options for special and challenging stages.
