2018 Round 6 - Monaro Stages

MTA NSW congratulates both Glenn Brinkman and Harvey Smith in winning the Monaro Stages Rally and the overall MTA NSW Rally Championship.

This sixth and final round of the MTA NSW Rally Championship was held near Cooma in the Kosciusko region of NSW on Saturday 20th October.

This event was not only the final round of the MTA NSW Rally Championship; it was also Round Six of the East Coast Classic Rally Series, Clubman Rally Series, Development Rally Series, Hyundai Rally Series and a round of the ACT Regional Rally Series.

Almost 50 competitors did compete over 150 competitive kilometres, with two heats being run on a mixture of local State Forest and Shire roads between Cooma and Bombala.

The team of Brinkman and Smith, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer, won three of the six stages. The rally action started from 9am from the Cooma Showgrounds, and the win from the team was appropriate based on their results throughout the season.
