2018 Round 1 - Caves Classic

The first round of the MTA NSW Rally Championship was the Singleton Automotive Centre Caves Classic, held at Oberon on Saturday 14th April.

The rally was also round one of the East Coast Classic Rally Series, TechWorkz Clubman Rally Series, NSW Development Rally Series, SpeedMaster Open Rally Series and Premier Panel Beating Hyundai Rally Series.

The event was based at the Oberon Rugby Leagues Club and took place in Hampton, Jenolan and Lowes Mount State Forests.

The first car started at the Leagues Club at 11am, flagged off by Oberon Mayor Kathy Sajowitz, and a full field of close to 300 competitors, officials and support crew arrived into the town, plus spectators, to enjoy the event.

1. Tim Wilkins / Jim Gleeson – Lancer Evo 7
2. Tom Clarke / Ryan Preston – Lancer Evo 9
3. Glen Brinkman / Harvey Smith – Lancer Evo 7
