V8 Unlimited Superboats are the elite of racing in jetsprinting with the only restriction being the minimum engine size. Engines vary depending on each design concept and are controlled by methanol fuel, having an incredible burn rate of 20 litres per average run lasting around 50 seconds!

MTA NSW Calls Upon Next Federal Government to Address Automotive Skills Shortage

The Motor Traders’ Association of NSW (MTA NSW), an Employers Association representing thousands of automotive businesses in NSW, calls upon the next Federal Government to address the estimated 10,000 plus short fall in NSW for qualified automotive technicians and specialists, and to properly plan for the technology, qualifications and jobs that will be required to service a rapidly changing national fleet of over 6.6 million vehicles in NSW.

MTA NSW Meets with China Auto Federation

On 29th April, MTA NSW CEO, Stavros Yallouridis together with Senior Management welcomed a visiting Chinese delegation, representing the China Auto Federation, to their MTA NSW offices in Sydney. The 9 member delegation, which comprised of leading Chinese Automotive Associations involved in China’s automotive industry, were led by their Chairman, Mr Chen Yuming.

Showcasing some of the best racing seen in its class in a long while, the next chapter has closed on one of the most intense weekends for MTA NSW sponsored Aussie Racing Cars driver, Kody Garland. Garland maintained his position alongside the leading pack for most of the race in Round Two of the Tasmanian SuperSprint at Symmons Plains Raceway.

By doing this we can inform Members and propose an approach to comply with the change, so that Members are not adversely affected by the change, or end up having to deal with underpayment claims and can avoid potential fines.

MTA NSW congratulates both Scott Krause and Rachel Parsons of Auto and Marine in Temora, for a remarkable 2nd place in Round 1 of the V8 Superboat Championships. Despite experiencing mechanical issues and being unable to race in their “little baby” KAOS, they still flew in just behind Phonsy Mullan with only a 0.063 second difference.

The Motor Traders’ Association of NSW (MTA NSW) is proudly sponsoring last year’s Australian Unlimited Superboat Class Champion Driver, Scott Krause, in the 2019 Australian Formula Jet Sprint Association’s (AFJSA) V8 Superboat Championships, which commences at Keith Diesel and Dirt Derby, South Australia on March 23, with the Championships running through to November 17 2019.
