2019 Australian V8 Superboat Championships Round 2 – Temora, NSW

V8 Unlimited Superboats are the elite of racing in jetsprinting with the only restriction being the minimum engine size. Engines vary depending on each design concept and are controlled by methanol fuel, having an incredible burn rate of 20 litres per average run lasting around 50 seconds!
Successful racing relies on maximum manoeuvrability and speed and is the reason why credit should go out to all competitors, on making it through another ‘fast and furious’ round at Temora for the Colin Parish Memorial on May 4th.
MTA NSW congratulates both Scott Krause and Rachel Parsons of Auto and Marine in Temora, for another amazing effort in the latest Round of the Australian V8 Superboat Championships. Unfortunately, things did not go so well for Krause’s Kaos this time, “We found a little leak we had around the jet unit developed into a large leak which flooded our boat and led to some engine troubles. However, we still had so much fun which is the real reason we race,” said Scott.
Second time world champion, Slade Stanley took a dominant victory in Unlimited Superboat, whilst Paul Kelly and Kyle Elphinstone were also victorious at Temora for Round 2.
The Superboat Championship racing series will be contested over 5 more rounds in NSW with Round 3 in Cabarita NSW on the 15th and 16th of June.
