MTA NSW Interview on Channel 9 Regarding Petrol Pricing




Colin Long, Senior Divisional Manager – Service Stations for MTA NSW was interviewed on Channel 9 news on Friday March 2nd 2018 in regards to service station price cycles.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) had announced on the previous day, Thursday, they would be conducting an investigation into petrol price cycles.

The ACCC has conducted many investigations into petrol pricing in recent times and this represents another investigation into this cyclical business.

As MTA NSW indicated, pricing is directly related to competition and where there are independent service stations operating in an area, competition is greater than areas without.
