Better Business Reforms

The Better Business Reforms package developed by the NSW Government  includes a number of significant wins for MTA NSW members which have been achieved through the consultative meetings held by the Association to address the serious issues that have affected the industry, such as restricted licensing, the Uncollected Goods Act, location restrictions for motor dealers, and the inability to road test a tow truck after servicing. These major reforms include:

  • Locational restrictions lifted for motor vehicle dealers
  • Reintroduction of restricted licencing
  • The ability to road test a tow truck after servicing
  • Modernisation of the Uncollected Goods Act
